Our hockey club is incredibly proud of the recognition we’ve received for our commitment to community engagement and inclusivity.

This year, we were honoured to win the Community Impact Award at the Athletic Union Awards, celebrating the positive difference we've made both on and off the pitch.

Contribution to Sport award at Newcastle University Pride awards

We were also nominated for multiple Community Impact Awards, including recognition for our Community Outreach Project. A key part of this has been our work with N.E.S.T (North East Solidarity and Teaching), where members of our club volunteer on Sunday mornings to run hockey sessions for refugees, helping to build confidence, community, and connection through sport.

We’re also thrilled to have been awarded the Silver Inclusivity Award, reflecting our ongoing efforts to make hockey accessible, welcoming, and supportive for everyone.
